And the list continues to grow

The Carolina Panthers have placed wide receiver Laviska Shenault, Jr. on injured reserve. The fourth year play maker suffered an ankle injury. He joins Chandler Zavala as Panthers placed on the list this week, as well as ten other Panthers players still on the list from earlier in the season.

Shenault was a second round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020. He spent two seasons with them before being traded to the Panthers in August of 2022. He has started four of his 21 games with the Carolina Panthers, catching 37 of 42 targets for 332 yards and one touchdown.

His statistical impact may seem small, but that is in part due to his participation in two of the worst offenses in Panthers history. His athleticism always made him a threat with the ball in his hands, however injuries and coaching challenges limited his opportunities.

Shenault will be an unrestricted free agent in 2024. His future in Carolina will depend heavily on who the team hires as their next head coach.
