Welcome back to Week 12 of our new weekly series that we are bringing to you courtesy of our friends over at DraftKings Sportsbook. Here we’ll take a look at the most interesting—or riskiest—player prop bets each week for the Carolina Panthers.
Every week we try to steer you towards some of the safer, or wilder, bets that you can make on this team. With the Panthers well into their second losing streak of the 2023 season, and nobody on the team having a statistically significant season, there are slim pickings when looking for prop bets around Panthers players.
Bryce Young - O/U 9.5 (-105/-125)
Chuba Hubbard - O/U 46.5 (-110/-120)
Miles Sanders - O/U 26.5 (-115/-115)
The Panthers are unsurprisingly favored to put up fewer than 100 yards total on the ground, looking at the over/unders for the team’s top three rushers (and the only three players that Draftkings Sportsbook is offering odds on). They are coming off of one of their strongest performances of the season on the ground against the Dallas Cowboys, who also boast one of the better defenses the team has seen all season. Alas, that has not translated into faith in any kind of consistent progress as the team also lost right guard Austin Corbett to a torn MCL just a few weeks after getting him back from last season’s ACL tear.
The only over I’d be tempted to take here is on Young. With Corbett out, he will be dealing with less reliable pass protection than usual and therefore more likely to have to scramble out of pressure. Everything else is a total crapshoot.
Eddie Piñeiro Kicking Pts - O/U 5.5 (-115/-115)
Welcome back to the most consistent bet in the Carolinas. Last week was the first in a long while that Piñeiro missed the over, as the Panthers offense only put together two scoring drives in the whole game and one of those miraculously ended in a touchdown. The offense is likely to stall out several times, making the over tempting again here.
