Get well, Austin Corbett.

The Panthers front office is busy throughout the season with transactions and roster moves. Here are the transactions that have taken place so far this week:

11/23 - Designated OLB Yetur Gross-Matos to return from injured reserve

The Panthers fourth-year edge rusher has played in six games this season and getting him back will help a pretty toothless Panthers pass rush. Carolina’s 17 sacks ranks second to last in the league ahead of only the Chicago Bears. YGM has 2.5 sacks and six pressures in 187 defensive snaps this year.

11/22 - Designated S Jeremy Chinn to return from injured reserve

The Panthers versatile safety has appeared in six games this year with 23 tackles and a sack. His last action was in Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins. If he’s healthy enough to play this weekend he’ll add some much-needed tackling in the box.

11/22 - Signed G Justin McCray and CB AJ Parker to practice squad

McCrary is a seven-year veteran who has bounced around the Panthers practice squad and active roster this season. He has played four offensive snaps and seven on special teams over two games this year with Carolina.

Parker, meanwhile, may have some promise. He joined the Detroit Lions in 2021 as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Kansas State. In his two seasons in Detroit he appeared in 16 games (seven starts) with a healthy 61 tackles, seven passes defended, and one interception. He’s intriguing.

11/22 - Placed RG Austin Corbett and CB Dicaprio Bootle on injured reserve

Losing Corbett really hurts. After battling back from a Week 17 2022 injury he got healthy enough to play in the Panthers last four games before injuring his left knee against the Dallas Cowboys. Corbett confirmed on X that it’s an MCL injury that will require surgery, leaving a massive void on a shaky offensive line.

Dicaprio Bootle has endeared himself to Panthers fans with his awesome name, He joined Carolina’s practice squad earlier this year then worked his way up to the active roster. He appeared in eight games with two starts recording 14 tackles and two passes defended before landing on the IR.
