Keep Sounding: Panthers dominate Saints, now visit Texans for Thursday Night Football

We recap the Panthers moving to 2-0 before previewing their prime time showdown with the Texans.

The Carolina Panthers utterly and totally annihilated the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Brian and I recap the destruction. Talking points:

  • Brandon Zylstra had himself a day
  • Christian McCaffrey has managed to make extraordinary stat lines seem underwhelming
  • DJ Moore’s evolution as one of the key pieces of the offense
  • Sam Darnold again looking like he might actually be good and not bad
  • Sam Darnold to Dan Arnold
  • The Panthers defense has looked incredible
  • How the front seven has been so dominant and admissions that Phil Snow may be a better defensive coordinator than we gave him credit for last season
  • The speed and unpredictability of the defense
  • It’s nice having a good secondary for once
  • The Panthers defense is statistically the best defense in the league pretty much across the board

After the Saints talk, we take some time to preview the much anticipated Thursday night showdown between the Panthers and the Houston Texans.

  • The Texans and their roster full of 2018-ish fantasy football sleepers
  • The downgrade from Tyrod Taylor to Davis Mills
  • Score predictions and Brian’s continued lack of faith in the Panthers
