Speaking to reporters today, Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said DE/OLB Marquis Haynes could miss 1-2 weeks with a shoulder injury.
Marquis Haynes could be out a week or two. But a lot of minor dings to end camp. DJ Moore’s back tightened up so they shut him down.

While the injury is fairly minor, you never want to rush a shoulder injury back too quickly in football, as they are really easy to complicate. Haynes has seen plenty of live NFL action, so this will be a good opportunity for Christian Miller to see some more work with the second team, as well as lesser known names like Frank Herron and Kendall Donnerson. When Haynes returns, however, he is fully expected to resume his rotation role on the defense.
Also, D.J. Moore took a hard fall in practice and his back was ailing him, so they gave him the pass to get out of the Spartanburg heat and go ice it down. No one here is worried about D.J. getting Moore reps, so again, the camp competitors will get to step up and show what they’ve got. Terrace Marshall, Shi Smith, and the other David Moore are expected to see more time as a result.
