The Carolina Panthers have completed a couple of roster moves this afternoon. They have signed punter Ryan Winslow from their practice squad to their regular roster to take the spot vacated when they sent wide receiver Brandon Zylstra (hamstring) to injured reserve.
Winslow first played for the Panthers as a practice squad promotion for the Panthers after they sent their original punter, Joseph Charlton, to injured reserve in the middle of the week with a back injury. He has played for a variety of teams across four years in professional football, including for two teams of the now defunct Alliance of American Football.
To fill Winslow’s practice squad spot, the Panthers have also re-signed running back Reggie Bonnafon. He was with the Panthers from 2018 (as an undrafted free agent) through the 2021 offseason. The Panthers managed to scoop up one of the best available combinations of “running back familiar with their system” and “veteran not currently employed by or on the injured reserve of the Baltimore Ravens.”
