The Panthers will have to navigate the next few weeks without their best player on the field as it has been reported that superstar running back Christian McCaffrey will miss ‘multiple weeks’ after sustaining an ankle injury in the second half of Carolina’s 31-17 loss to the Buccaneers yesterday. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter broke the news on Twitter.
Panthers’ RB Christian McCaffrey is expected to be sidelined “multiple weeks” with the ankle injury he suffered Sunday, per source.

This is obviously not good news for the Panthers, as it will be hard for them to win games without their best player on offense. The only thing we can hope is that the injury isn’t too serious, and that ‘multiple weeks’ only means two or three, as opposed to seven or eight.
The team will have to rely on backup running backs Mike Davis, Trenton Cannon and Reggie Bonnafon to share the load until McCaffrey is able to return, and we just have to hope that one of them — or a combination of the three — are able to be good enough replacements until McCaffrey is able to return.
