The Panthers only had one player who didn’t practice today as they prepare for their Week 1 matchup with the Raiders, as left guard Dennis Daley sat out with an ankle injury. Cornerback Stanley Thomas-Oliver also was limited with a hamstring ailment.

Panthers guard Dennis Daley (ankle) did not practice today
Stan Thomas-Oliver (hamstring)- Limited
With Daley missing practice again today, there’s a good chance he won’t play on Sunday. If that’s the case, it appears that Michael Schofield will start in his place at left guard. Rhule expressed his confidence in the veteran guard after practice yesterday.
Rhule says he's confident in Michael Schofield if Dennis Daley can't go this week at left guard.

As far as confidence in Schofield is concerned, count me as cautiously optimistic as well. Honestly, it may be better to play Schofield in this strange week 1 situation we find ourselves in as he is a veteran player while Daley is just a second year guy with no significant NFL starting left guard experience. That said, any time the starting offensive line misses as a complete unit does tend to compound over time.
