Today’s Panthers injury report is a lot like yesterday’s with several key players not participating in practice. Christian McCaffrey is among the players who didn’t suit up today, as expected, and he is all but confirmed to be out when the Panthers travel to Washington to face the Football Team this Sunday.
Matt Rhule says Christian McCaffrey wants to play, but he's not able to play. "He's dying to play, but he's just not there, yet."

Defensive end Brian Burns, left tackle Russell Okung and cornerback Troy Pride Jr. also didn’t practice. Defensive end Austin Larkin, defensive tackle Braavion Roy and linebacker Adarius Taylor were limited.

DNP: Brian Burns, Christian McCaffrey, Russell Okung, Troy Pride Jr.
Limited: Austin Larkin, Braavion Roy, Adarius Taylor
According to Matt Rhule, Brian Burns and Troy Pride Jr. will also be out on Sunday.
Matt Rhule says he would call DE Brian Burns and CB Troy Pride Jr. out for Sunday based on what he knows now.

(Personal note: The Panthers are 4-10 and have a top-five draft pick, so I think this is the right call.)
In other news, offensive lineman Dennis Daley has been placed on injured reserve and will not play for the remainder of the season after dealing with a concussion he sustained last month in Carolina’s win over the Lions.
Matt Rhule on OL Dennis Daley, who went on IR this week after sustaining a concussion vs. DET on Nov. 22: "I think he's doing well. They have a plan for him, but he's just not quite there, yet."

We should have official confirmation on what we pretty much already know re: Burns and McCaffrey’s status for Sunday, so stay tuned for updates when they become available.
