The Panthers are on a short week due to their upcoming game against the Falcons on Thursday night, so they don’t get the benefit of a Monday off following their road loss to the Saints yesterday afternoon.
The good news for the Panthers is that only two players were not able to practice today. The bad news is that both players are starting offensive linemen. Left tackle Russell Okung (ankle) and right guard John Miller (calf) were both sidelined for today’s practice session.

More good news for the Panthers is that superstar running back Christian McCaffrey is a possibility for Thursday night’s game, at least according to head coach Matt Rhule. McCaffrey is still on injured reserve and must be designated to return before he can participate in practice, but Rhule is hopeful that the Panthers can get their star running back on the field for a crucial divisional matchup on Thursday night.

We should know more about McCaffrey’s status tomorrow or Wednesday, so stay tuned for updates to his potential availability.
