The Panthers are preparing for their Week 4 matchup with the Cardinals and had a few players return to the practice field for today’s session.
Defensive tackle Derrick Brown (non-injury) and left tackle Russell Okung practiced today, but defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos (illness) did not. Linebacker/safety Jeremy Chinn (hip) participated in warm ups but wore a red (non-contact) jersey today.
OG Dennis Daley and DT Kawann Short were both present at practice for the 2nd consecutive day. A good sign for the 2 starters, who have missed the last 2 and 3 games respectively.

Brown missed yesterday’s practice for the birth of his second child. That’s a pretty good reason to miss practice, if you ask me.
Gross-Matos missed his second straight practice with an illness, but Matt Rhule told the media yesterday that it’s not COVID-19 related. Let’s hope he’s correct about that.
Matt Rhule says rookie DE Yetur Gross-Matos' illness is not COVID related.

We’ll have to keep an eye on Gross-Matos throughout the week, as well as the players who did not practice today, and hope they’re all ready to go on Sunday afternoon.
