I don’t know what to say here. This is literally the biggest shock we’ve ever seen at Cat Scratch Reader while covering this team. Luke lives and breathes football, and to see him walk away from playing a game he is among the best to ever play at 29 years old is certainly something we didn’t expect to be talking about on a Tuesday night in January.
The only thing I can say right now is this: Thank you, Luke. Thank you for being part of the Panthers organization for the brief time you were here, and thank you for giving your entire heart and soul to your teammates and your fans for the last eight years. You will be missed, and there will never be another player like you.
