Greg Olsen and Rashaan Gaulden join Bruce Irvin and Greg Little on the Panthers first injury report of a shortened Week 2. This is the first we have heard about any new injuries and it is likely that Olsen and Gaulden’s lack of participation in practice had more to do with the quick turn around for Thursday night’s game than is does the severity of their injuries.
There is no reason to worry yet about their availability. Gaulden isn’t exactly a pivotal member of the secondary and Olsen could probably play without practicing once this week.
Today’s injury report:— Max Henson (@PanthersMax) September 9, 2019
Gaulden (groin), Olsen (back), Irvin (hamstring) all DNP.
Little (concussion) listed full participant but has not cleared protocol yet.
The real news here is that Little is progressing within the concussion protocol and could be expected back as early as this week. He was a full participant in practice but that is not the same thing as being completely cleared to play. This is a positive first step and we will be sure to share with you once he has been released from the protocol.
