The bad news is that Julius Peppers won’t be sacking quarterbacks anymore. The good news is that he will be returning to the Carolina Panthers in a more administrative role.
According to Pro Football Talk, Peppers has been hired as a “special assistant, business operations.”
Panthers vice president of external affairs Steve Drummond said the following about the future hall-of-famer’s new role:
“His role is part special projects on the business side and part ambassadorship. We are giving him an opportunity to work in several parts of our business while also helping us engage and grow our business with fans and partners. He will be a tremendous asset.”
It seems as though Peppers wants to make the most out of his retirement by using the resources he gained throughout his legendary NFL career. Not only is he helping the Carolina Panthers on the business side of things, but he is also pursuing his humanitarian efforts at the same time.
If we know anything about Julius Peppers as an individual, it’s the fact that he is relentless in nearly everything that he does. With that being said, it will be exciting to see Peppers perform under a new role in the Panthers’ front office.
