Team president Tom Glick remarked:
“We are delighted to have Meredith join our leadership team. She is a proven difference maker in our industry and understands fans and how to deliver special moments, memories and experiences to continue to fuel their passion. As we strive to do more for our fans, partners and communities across the Carolinas, Meredith’s command of the fundamentals and drive to innovate will help us get it right.”
Starkey brings to the table an immense amount of experience in dealing with various professional sports franchises, including leading the branding sponsorship of T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the home of the Las Vegas Golden Knights NHL team. She has also managed the sponsorship’s for T-Mobile’s NBA and MLB sponsorhsips in their respective locations.
Beyond her professional credentials, Starkey is a native of the Carolinas, born in Edenton, NC while being raised in Lexington, SC... so she has lived the whole “Two States, One Team” mantra her entire life. She also appears to be a big Clemson Tigers fan:
