Just when you think the Carolina Panthers quarterback situation is a non-story, at least temporarily, the Panthers go out and make it one again. Cam Newton is headed to IR, which raises questions about his future in Carolina. We have to talk about it, and we do.
We do find time to talk about the Panthers 30-20 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Christian McCaffrey continues to be very good and is making a strong case for MVP if the coaching staff doesn’t run him into the ground first. Also the defense keeps doing stuff.
We then preview the Panthers kind of nationally televised game on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers at 4:25 Eastern time. Brad tells you why 4:00 games are bad. I tell you why they’re not. We also aren’t particularly high on the Panthers chances of winning.
There’s a good amount of Chargers talk in this episode for some reason. It’s fun though.
And this is one of my favorite cold opens in the history of this show.
