Panthers vs Titans game day inactives: Christian Miller held out one more week

The Panthers are giving rookie edge rusher Christian Miller one more week to recover as he battles back from an ankle injury.

The Carolina Panthers and Tennessee Titans have released their inactives lists for today’s game. The only surprise is rookie edge rusher Christian Miller, who is being held out another week after suffering an ankle injury a few weeks ago. He participated in practice this week but apparently the team wants to give him one more week off to ensure he’s fully healed (imagine that).

The Titans will be without two key starters as defensive tackle Jurrell Casey and center Ben Jones were ruled out prior to today’s game. The Panthers currently rank No. 2 in the league in sacks with 30, so today would be a good day to add to their total since the Titans are playing today’s game without their starting center. Tight end Delanie Walker is also inactive today for the Titans.

Here are the inactives for both teams (Note: The Panthers only have six inactive players because they only have 52 players on their roster.)

Panthers inactives

LB/DE Mario Addison
LB Jordan Kunaszyk
OT Greg Little
LB/DE Christian Miller
QB Cam Newton
OL Bryan Witzmann

Titans inactives

DT Jurrell Casey
LB Reggie Gilbert
C Ben Jones
CB Chris Milton
OL Kevin Pamphile
G Aaron Stinnie
TE Delanie Walker
