Panthers vs Jaguars Thursday injury report: Greg Little still headlines an already long list

New, comments

We’re only at the quarter mark and it feels like the Panthers have already hurt a full quarter of their team.

Today’s injury report has been published and it does not contain good news after yesterday’s list contained a surprising number of starters. Greg Little remains in the protocol, Brian Burns remains in a cast, and Donte Jackson, Chris Manhertz, and Trai Turner still have yet to practice this week.

For what it is worth, the Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue has said she expects both Eric Reid (ankle) and Burns (hand) to play. That leaves Jackson, Turner, Manhertz, Little, and Cam Newton expected to miss a second (or third, for some) consecutive game. Oh, and don’t forget that Kawann Short and Chris Hogan were added to the injured reserve list this week as well.

The good news is that Gerald McCoy (knee) and Shaq Thompson (hand) are still full participants in practice and Christian McCaffrey (rest) and Curtis Samuel (rest) didn’t get injured yesterday during their day off.
