The Carolina Panthers Week 10 match up against the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin has been moved from its originally scheduled early afternoon time slot at 1:00 PM EST to the late afternoon time slot of 4:25 PM EST.
Recent embarrassments aside, the Packers and Panthers are setting up to be a good midseason match up between two largely successful teams that will (hopefully) feature two superstar quarterbacks in Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton.
Even if the Panthers and Packers both drop their Week 9 Games (vs. Tennessee Titans and at Los Angeles Chargers, respectively), their combined records coming into this game would be 11-5 with neither team being under .500. That’s a pretty good game for what is perceived in the television industry as the best time slot outside of primetime.
A win against the Packers would provide some much needed momentum for the Panthers as they head into a stretch of divisional play that will feature the hapless Atlanta Falcons in Week 11 and the NFC South-leading New Orleans Saints in Week 12.
