The Carolina Panthers are prepared to part ways with wide receivers coach Lance Taylor, according to a report by Pro Football Talk that cites Alex Marvez of SirusXM NFL Radio as the original source of the news.
Source tells me @Panthers WRs coach Lance Taylor will not be returning in 2019

If this report is true—and I have no reason to believe it’s not—Taylor will be the third assistant coach from the 2018 staff to be let go. Defensive line coach Brady Hoke and defensive backs coach Jeff Imamura were fired during the season after Ron Rivera took over play-calling duties from defensive coordinator Eric Washington, a move that didn’t do much to help the team break out of a 1-7 skid to close out the second half of the season.
If the Panthers are in the market for a wide receivers coach, I know just the guy who would be perfect for the job. He’s familiar with the Panthers organization and the city of Charlotte, and he thinks highly of the Panthers’ 2018 first round draft pick D.J. Moore.
You know what to do, Ron. It’s time to bring Smitty home.
Do it.
