The departure of Peppers during free agency left a huge hole in more than just the Panther’s defensive line, as the Carolina native was a fan favorite as much for his Carolina history as for his play-making abilities. Johnson stepped up and delivered in his new role with an ethos that the Panther’s have tried to exemplify since their inception by displaying humility, diligence, and perseverance.
