Update (7:35 p.m. ET): It looks like they went with blue socks instead of black, but the white pants/blue jersey combo is in action tonight against Miami.
Last night, the Panthers social media team released a teaser video about the uniform combination for tonight’s preseason home opener against the Dolphins. At first it looks like your standard Panthers uniform with the blue jersey, but then . . . things got interesting.

In case you can’t watch the embedded video, here’s the skinny on what the Panthers are wearing tonight. . .
Blue jerseys.
White pants.
Black socks.
This is not a drill, y’all.
Maybe we’ll see a brand new logo at midfield tonight too. . .
I know it seems silly to get worked up about a uniform combination for a preseason game, but it’s refreshing to see that this latest chapter in Panthers history is one where the fans’ voices are heard. How long have we been asking for a midfield logo and a uniform update? And now it seems that we’re finally getting it. For the first time in what seems like forever, we can say that things are changing in Carolina!
What do you think of the look, Panthers fans? Are you excited about the change? Are you hopeful that this means more changes (cough—all black uniforms—cough) are on the horizon? Share your thoughts!
