The Carolina Panthers have selected Rashaan Gaulden with the No. 85 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The Tennessee defensive back is the second DB taken in back to back picks by Carolina. Likely Gaulden or Jackson will either end up playing at safety. Time will tell if we value speed or savvy at safety, but Gaulden is ready to play at either position. Regardless of who ends up where, general manager Marty Hurney has proven that he is serious about shoring up the Panthers’ secondary.
