The Panthers have named their 2017 practice squad after a long weekend of roster decisions. In all, eleven players were brought back to the practice squad, including safeties Damian Parms and Dezmen Southward.
The Panthers have two extra slots on the practice squad right now. One of those spots is due to their participation in the NFL’s International Pathway Player Program, which allows them to keep DE Efe Obada on the practice squad for the entire year. The other spot will be used at some point, probably after the Panthers decide which players they want to cut to make room for Brad Kaaya and Demetrious Cox.
