While the focus of yesterday’s practice was on Cam Newton taking reps in every team drill, we also learned that rookie defensive end Daeshon Hall suffered a knee injury during practice, according to a report by Bill Voth.
Rookie defensive end Daeshon Hall was taken off the field early in Monday's practice after suffering a left knee contusion.
The Panthers will treat Hall and see how he responds, but as of late Monday afternoon, the team did not have a timetable for his return.
It doesn’t seem too serious right now, and it’s possible that Hall will still suit up for the Panthers’ preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night.
Panthers feel they dodged a bullet with the Daeshon Hall knee thing yesterday. Again, it’s a contusion, aka: bruise. Chance he plays Thurs.

The team believing Hall could play Thursday night is good news, as it confirms the reports that the injury isn’t too serious. For now, we can breathe a sigh of relief and be thankful that the Panthers dodged potential disaster.
Stay tuned to CSR for any updates to Hall’s status for Thursday night, as we’ll provide any news when it becomes available.
