With 81 days left until real football, let’s take a look at number 81, WR Mose Frazier.
Bio
Height: 5’ 11”
Weight: 190 lbs
Age: 23
College: Memphis
Experience: 1 year
Career
Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos, Mose Frazier spent all of 2016 bouncing between practice squads, starting with Denver then moving on to Buffalo and, later, San Francisco. The Panthers signed him in free agency this past offseason mostly as a camp body with fairly small expectations. Frazier spent three seasons at Memphis including his senior season where he was the favorite target of Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch.
While he had okay stats in college, the NFL is a whole different beast so the Panthers did not have high expectations for Frazier coming into camp. Fortunately for the young spark plug, he came out swinging. Unfortunately, he came out swinging at star linebacker Luke Kuechly, who is coming off a season marred by a concussion. Luckily for Mose, the punch did not connect. The good news is, he obviously is not going to take crap from anybody. Camp scuffles happen (see: Newton, Cam vs Norman, Josh 2015), so it should not be too big a cause for concern. Hopefully he can direct that fire in a more productive way as the offseason progresses. Here are some highlights from his final year at Memphis:
