It won’t be hard to find at least five players to fill out this poll this week. The hard part will be picking one above the others but I think in the end it might be obvious.
RB Jonathan Stewart
Stewart became the first RB to post 100 yards rushing against the Vikings defense, racking up 103 yards on 16 carries and a career high 3 touchdowns! Stewart was a bull in this one as the offensive line was able to open some creases for him.
QB Cam Newton
Newton didn’t throw the ball particularly well (13 for 25 for 138 1 TD/1 INT) but he certainly did enough with his legs to put the W on the board. His 62 yard jaunt up the middle late in the 4th quarter led to the winning score. It was only Newton’s 2nd 4th quarter game winning drive of the season but it was huge.

LB Luke Kuechly
Kuechly led the team with an eye popping 14 tackles including a sack and a tackle for loss. So basically he was his normal awe-inspiring self but let’s not ever take it for granted.
DE Mario Addison
Addison had three combined tackles and a tackle for loss but his biggest play was a forced fumble that the Panthers recovered. It eventually led to Panthers points. PFF loved his game:

DE MARIO ADDISON, 92.5 OVERALL GRADE
Working on guards and tackles, Addison had himself his most productive day of a productive pass-rushing season, picking up a sack, two hits and five hurries. He had most of his success against Riley Reiff, but Jeremiah Sirles was exposed by his speed. Addison isn’t a guy who gets a lot of publicity, but when you make plays like the strip-sack that put points on the board, the spotlight will find you.
DT Kawann Short
Short was quiet in the first half but then dialed up the pressure in the 2nd half when the Panthers really needed him. He finished with 2 sacks, 3 tackles and 2 tackles for a loss.
CB Daryl Worley
Worley was second in tackles with 9 and added a beauty of an INT on the Vikings’ first drive to get the defense off on a good foot. He has really turned the corner this season and has elevated his game.
