The Panthers finally have some good news on the Ryan Kalil front as he was a limited participant in practice today and appears to be on track to make his first start since the Panthers’ Week 1 win over the 49ers.
Kalil has missed the last five games with a ‘sore neck’ that we still don’t know the full extent of, but it appears to be behind him now, which is great because the Panthers have sorely missed his leadership on on the offensive line. We should expect the Panthers’ ground attack to benefit largely from his return to the starting lineup.
Linebacker Luke Kuechly remains in the concussion protocol and missed practice today, though he was out on the field with the team. Per the concussion protocol rules, he’s not allowed to participate in drills, but he is allowed to be on the field.
Kelvin Benjamin sat out practice today with a sore knee, but it’s most likely precautionary. If there’s any more news concerning Benjamin, we’ll be sure to let you know.
