The Panthers are ready to take on the Patriots and hope to avoid falling to .500 on the young season, but will have to do so without several key players.
Panthers Inactives
C Ryan Kalil, CB Daryl Worley, WR Curtis Samuel, DE Daeshon Hall, OT John Theus, QB Brad Kaaya, DE Bryan Cox
The Panthers will be without Ryan Kalil for the third straight game and will rely on Tyler Larsen to step up in his absence. Daryl Worley misses his first game after suffering a shoulder injury last week against the Saints, and Kevon Seymour will start in his place. Curtis Samuel is inactive due to a back injury, and Daeshon Hall will miss today’s game due to a knee injury. Theus, Kaaya and Cox are all healthy scratches for today’s game.
Patriots Inactives
RB Rex Burkhead, OT LaAdrian Waddle, WR Matthew Slater, OL Cole Croston, LB David Harris, LB Harvey Langi, S Brandon King
Burkhead missing today’s action is good for the Panthers’ chances of winning as that takes away one of Josh McDaniels’ weapons on offense. Slater is also a key loss for the Patriots’ special teams unit, so hopefully the Panthers can find a way to take advantage of these absences.
Kickoff isn’t too far away, Panthers fans. Are you excited yet?
