It's a Torn Achilles for Frank Alexander

Yes, another player we expected big things from this season is now done for the year due to injury.

Amazingly it was also another non-contact injury.

"I'm disappointed for Frank," coach Ron Rivera said after the game. "That's a tough one."

Alexander was the leader to start opposite Charles Johnson on the Panthers defensive front. Alexander was suspended for 14 games in 2014.

"I feel like I was on the right track, but I am going to bounce back from this," Alexander told the Panthers' official website. "My faith is still high. I'm not giving up on myself. I'm going to stay positive and stay focused. It's just another bump in the road that I have to get over."

Wow...I don't know what to say at this point. Rivera has quite a job ahead of him to keep the morale up. The silver lining is I think the Panthers can adjust given they still have Kony Ealy to play the spot. Ealy has looked pretty good so far and appears ready to start.
