The Carolina Panthers today elected to keep an integral part of their offense through 2018 by signing TE Greg Olsen to a 3 year contract extension. Olsen, affectionately known as "Thor", had a career year in Carolina this past season, notching 84 receptions for 1,008 yards and 6 TD's. He also received the attention he has deserved the past several years in finally being elected to go to the Pro Bowl. Olsen has set numerous franchise records in his time as a Panther, including most 100 yard games in a single season as a TE in 2014, with three games over the century mark, besting former Panthers TE great Wesley Walls.
The Panthers organization did not release any numbers on the contract extension as of yet, so we will keep you updated here on CSR with the latest. You can read the Panthers news release here.
