According to Panthers Coach Ron Rivera, running back DeAngelo Williams is expected to play against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football. Williams has been dealing with hamstring and ankle injuries this season.
DeAngelo Williams has signified to Rivera that he's "ready to roll" this week

The return of Williams is huge for an offense that has struggled to move the ball on the ground. In two games this season, Williams has had 25 carries for 106 yards, for a solid 4.2 yards per carry average.
Williams has excellent cutback ability and speed in the open field. Expect more read option plays against the Saints, especially outside zone reads that will allow him to get in space on the perimeter.
Jonathan Stewart played very well against the Seattle Seahawks this past Sunday, and pairing him with Williams should hopefully get the offense back on track after two lackluster performances in losses the last two weeks.
