Panthers vs. Seahawks injury report: Hixon, Silatolu and Mitchell among Carolina inactives

When the Panthers take on the Seahawks this afternoon they will be missing several starters. Among today's inactives are Domenik Hixon, Amini Silatolu and Mike Mitchell, who were all penciled in as starters before they were sidelined with injuries.

Armanti Edwards will replace Hixon in the WR rotation, Travelle Wharton and Chris Scott will rotate at left guard in Silatolu's stead and newly signed Quintin Mikell will start at SS in the place of Mitchell.

The running back rotation will also be one man down as rookie Kenjon Barner is also on the inactive list, so look for Armond Smith to take his snaps today. Fortunately for the Panthers Mike Tolbert is listed as active, though it's unknown how much he will be used as he's nursing an injury as well.

Brian Folkerts, James Dockery and Wes Horton round out the inactives list for Carolina.

Seattle will be without several key players as CB Brandon Browner and DEs Cliff Avril and Chris Clemons will be inactive today. If the Panthers want to leave Bank of America Stadium this afternoon with a win, they must take advantage of Seattle not having these key players on defense.
