2013 Carolina Panthers Offseason: Jon Beason restructures contract

New, comments

Panthers linebacker Jon Beason has re-worked his six year, $51 million deal.

Jeremy Brevard-US PRESSWIRE

According to a tweet from Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, Panthers linebacker Jon Beason has agreed to restructure his contract.

We don't have details on the new contract at this time, but it is good news that Beason was willing to re-work his deal to help the organization. It's also unknown what the team plans to do with any saved money from this restructure, but with rumors of possible deals with Travelle Wharton and Quintin Mikell floating around, Beason's re-worked contract could be the first of a series of moves by GM Dave Gettleman to help complete the roster for the start of the 2013 season.

Once we have more information on the details of the restructure we will be sure to provide them, so be sure to stay tuned to CSR for more news on this developing story.
