Why the Panthers Should Trade for Tim Tebow

I know you just scoffed and rolled your eyes, but hear me out! Let me first state that I am not one of those fanatic Tim Tebow lovers. I do however, think he can be a good player if utilized correctly.

What Tebow can do for the Panthers:

Rivera has said that he wants a QB with a similar skill set to Cam. Tebow fits the bill as well as anyone. He runs the ball very well and has a strong arm for a vertical passing game. Our offense might not be as good with him in Cams place, but it wouldn't have to change much. We also have a creative OC who can find ways to use him. I can imagine many plays with both Cam and Tebow on the field. Imagine this. Cam under center, Tebow in the back field, Steve and Gettis/Lafell out wide, Olsen on the line, and Edwards in the slot. Just think about how many plays you could run with that formation. Three QBs on the field creates versatility that I think Chud could utilize. Tebow would make an excellent back up, could be used for many "creative" plays, and could even be our 3rd RB.

How the Panthers could make the trade happen:

I think we could easily make this happen with Denver. I highly doubt anyone gives them more than a 2nd or 3rd for Tebow. Luckily, we know Foxy well and can work out a deal. There are many players here that he would probably really like to have and that are expendable for us.

Here is my trade proposal:

Jimmy Clausen, Mike Goodson. we get rid of Pickles (yay) and get Tebow. They get Clausen (whom they can groom behind Manning) and Goodson (Fox likes and knows how to use). I know I'm going to hear a lot of grunts and moans, but just think about the idea. With this suggested trade we dont lose much of anything, and we gain a player who serves many purposes.
