Here is to hoping they get it done. I like this part:
The league is proposing having seven officials -- one per position of referee, umpire, line judge, side judge, back judge, field judge and head linesman -- who would train, scout and handle communications, safety issues and rules interpretations year-round.
I haven't forgotten that as bad as the replacements have been, I got very frustrated with the regular guys last season. This might help fix that.
