Seahawks vs. Panthers: Matt Moore to Start
QB Matt Moore will make his first start today at home against the Seahawks. Let’s see how long the Panther faithful stay behind the rookie if he struggles. I expect the Panthers to run the ball 30+ times regardless of the score. Let’s count the Steve smith carries as well. Five to ten would be nice.
With David Carr being listed at #2 it provides further evidence Carr’s days are numbered in Charlotte.
Today’s Inactives:
Here are the inactives for today: quarterback Vinny Testaverde, linebacker James Anderson, linebacker Brandon Jamison, guard Evan Mathis, defensive end Stanley McClover, tackle Frank Omiyale, receiver Keary Colbert and defensive tackle Gary Gibson. -- PAT YASINSKAS
The only surprise for me is Stanley McClover. I believe he was nursing an injury so maybe that had something to do with it.
Key Match-up: Panthers RT Jordan Gross vs. Seahawks DE Pat Kearney
This will give us a good measure of Gross and whether he is one of the better RT in the game. He and Kearney (a former Falcon) know each other well so he should have an idea of how to contain him. Let’s see if he can. If Gross gives up multiple sacks to Kearney I think its safe to say the Panthers should look at finding a better option at that position. The Panthers biggest off-season concern should be getting linemen who can protect Delhomme.

qb
having matt moore start todays game pretty much tells me that carolina will have new #2 and 3 qb's next year, unless matt moore plays well.
