David Carr's Injury May be Worse than Advertised
Carolina Growl reports that David Carr’s injury is more than a strain, it is a compression fracture.
The word fracture does not sound good and makes me wonder if he may be out longer than previously expected. The thought of fracturing something in your back makes me cringe. The compression part comes from the 280+ pounds that fell on top of him (Will Smith I believe).
Even hairline fractures need four weeks to heal sufficiently. That would mean Carr would still miss the next game against Tennessee. We better hope Vinny stays healthy. As much as I would like to see Matt Moore get in the game a little I don’t want to see him start against Tennessee
