Panthers Fans Tailgating In Tampa
Is any of the CSR community planning on attending the game on Sunday? If you are then do you fancy getting together for some beers and food with other Panthers fans before watching Cam go to work?
Hello from thephinsider.com, the Miami Dolphins blog-site. We just claimed R.J. Stanford off waivers, and I was wondering what you guys think of him. After trading Vontae Davis to the Colts, we need someone to play nickle cornerback, and I dont think Carrol has what it takes. Is R.J. Stanford good enough to succeed at nickle?
Jimmy Clausen will not be cut
Darin Gantt @daringantt
There goes the last remaining drama. RT @TimBaier: #Panthers Rivera says they kept Jimmy Clausen. Happy with how that room has developed.
1. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers: General managers everywhere scan the horizon for the next Ace Boogie. Don't hold your breath. There is no "this year's Newton," and there won't be one next year. Forget second-year guys, Newton is in the top-five conversation league-wide. He sparkled out of the gate last season, and Cam's poised to barrel on as the league's top athlete in 2012.
Eagles waived CB Cliff Harris.
A camp darling, Harris was simply buried at the cornerback position and was no longer in the race for return duties. If he clears waivers, the former Oregon standout will be a practice squad candidate.
Ron Rivera says he had a "hold-your-breath" moment Thurs after LB Thomas Davis went down after big block by Bruce Campbell. But Davis "popped right back up and kept on running," says Rivera, who said Davis took another step forward as he tries to come back from his third ACL on his right knee.
Panthers released G/C Scott Mruczkowski.
The 30-year-old's "heart wasn't in it." Mruczkowski spent seven seasons in San Diego before latching on in Panthers training camp, starting 16 career games.
