This article from the National Football Post does a good job breaking down the payment schedule for Jake Delhomme's remaining owed money from the Panthers (about which there's been much consternation.) However, here's the meat of the proceedings: he will be paid his $4.16 million in guaranteed salary for this year on schedule, then receive the remaining $8.515 million in guarantees scheduled for the '11 and '12 seasons on March 1 of next year. That money will be adjusted for inflation based on the change between April 23, 2009 (when Delhomme's extension was signed) and February 1 of next year.

Interesting. This the first time that management has 'bothered' me with their decision making so far this offseason. It is just a confusing message to send to their fans, considering they have done nothing but purge salaries to this point. So they are going to save their money and ask us for more. Hmm...bad timing?
