Glimmer of hope at OT?

Does Miami draft the OT from Bama? Does that allow Martin or Lewan to fall all the way to 28?

Sidney Rice returns to the Seahawks

Sidney Rice returns to the Seahawks

Rice broke the news himself on Twitter. Per a league source, it’s a one-year deal. We’re told the deal pays more than the veteran minimum, but the specific amount isn’t currently known.

USC junior free safety Dion Bailey has met with the Carolina Panthers and the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a league source. Bailey intercepted five passes last season and had 61 tackles, 6.5 for losses. The converted linebacker is drawing middle-round grades from draft analysts. He was named second-team All-Pac-12 Conference. Bailey ran the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds at the NFL scouting combine and bench pressed 225 pounds 14 times at his campus Pro Day workout. At the combine, he had a 34-inch vertical leap. He recorded 222 career tackles and 11 interceptions.

Martin has a 2nd to 3rd round grade from most media outlets, and that feels about right. The Panthers are doing due diligence on players outside round 1 as well.

Panthers add CFL sack leader.

While you can never have "too many" pass rushers, this signing is confusing. The guy has played for FOUR NFL teams and TWO CFL teams. Granted the talent level is different, but SIXTEEN SACKS has to get your attention. The guy's 28years old and he was Cleveland's 7th round pick in 2008. Perhaps the light came on in Winnipeg.

Luke Kuechly Headed to NFL Hall of Fame.

The Panthers recently sent those items from the uniform Kuechly wore on Dec. 22, 2013, when he tied an NFL single-game record with 24 tackles in a 17-13 victory against the New Orleans Saints.

Do you still want Kelvin Benjamin???

Seems Kelvin Benjamin still has his issues.

Signing DeCoud

Ed Dickson visiting Carolina

Free agent TE Ed Dickson is visiting the Panthers. It's Dickson's first-known visit of free agency, though the Baltimore Sun reported last month that he had contract offers from the Jaguars and Ravens. It's a bit unbelievable that Dickson would have turned down any offer after back-to-back poor seasons. In Carolina, he'd compete for No. 2 duties behind Greg Olsen.
