Career
Wyatt Houston is a relative unknown coming to us from Utah State as an undrafted free agent. He was signed on May 31st, meaning he was not part of our initial UDFA class, and spent his first month with Kansas City. He replaced TE Desean Smith on the roster, and was actually teammates with backup center Tyler Larsen in college.
Infomation about Houston is few and far between, but the common theme is that he has a knack for finding holes in zone coverage and is an excellent route runner, which helps make up for his average athleticism. In the video clip posted below, you’ll see him make a lot of difficult catches on either poorly thrown balls or in heavy traffic. Also... bravo to the videographer on this... one of the most crisp and well put together highlight reels that I’ve seen.
