It seemed like one after the other. Trai Turner coming off, then Fozzy Whitaker and then a sideline view of Andrew Norwell with ice on his right ankle. This was all way after P Mike Scifres went down hard after a roughing call. His knee was iced as well and appeared the worst of the injured.
Rivera discusses roster decisions
Guards Trai Turner (shoulder) and Andrew Norwell (ankle) practiced after suffering minor injuries during the preseason loss to the Patriots. Guard Chris Scott (shoulder) also returned to practice.
Well here's a hat tip to our medical staff for attending to these three players quickly to minimize their recovery time.
I'm curious about Fozzy as I thought for sure I saw him on the turf. I was now going to show you the official Panthers injury report but I see the page is blank. I guess they don't fire that up until the actual season starts?
Well here's what else I could find and they address Whitaker and Scifres.

Along with punter Mike Scifres exiting with a knee injury, starting offensive guards Andrew Norwell and Trai Turner each left the game in the third quarter. After receiving some treatment from trainers, Turner was walking around on the sidelines in good spirits, while Norwell remained on the trainer's table with his ankle iced. Backup running back Fozzy Whittaker also left the game with what appeared to be a shoulder injury in the third quarter. Rookie linebacker Jeremy Cash was also dinged and evaluated for a concussion.
The good news about Scifres is that the injury in not to the same knee he had surgery on last season. Yet we still haven't heard how serious the injury is and whether he will miss some time.
We are still on a wait and see approach with Whitaker and Cash. I assume Cash will just need time to clear the cobwebs. I also have to assume Whitaker's is not bad or we would have heard something by now. That might be a bad assumption, we shall see.
