13:43 in 1st Quarter
This first play didn't lead to a Panther score but instead was simply something positive on special teams so here you go.
So it's hard to see every Panther that made key blocks but I do see Joe Webb and Benewikere sealing off Patriots allowing Ginn the edge. There were a ton of key cut back blocks as well, for a lack of a better word. Ginn zipped for 32 yards which was the Panthers biggest gain of the day.
12:28 in 2nd Quarter; 2nd and 19
In my view this game was a perfect showcase for why Jerricho Cotchery will most likely be a starter come the season opener. While other Panthers were dropping balls all over the place, Cotch runs a perfect route and snatches the pass that was thrown a little behind him.
Cotchery also manages to maximize his yards after the catch as well, going for 18 yards to set up 3rd and 1 which the Panthers convert.
14:43 in 3rd Quarter, 1st and 10
The Panthers were coming out of the locker room having just given up the lead before the half and needed a big play. Working from the slot Bersin found the soft spot in the zone and hauled in the catch.
Bersin has for the most part shown to have reliable hands which has to be highly valued after all of the dropped passes in this game.
7:37 in the 4th Quarter, 2nd and 10
With the Pats at the Panthers 37 the Panthers needed a stop to limit the Pats scoring opportunity.
I believe the safety that burst onto the scene here and made the play is Robert Lester but I admit it's hard to tell. It's a very nice play that forced 3rd and long and an eventual Patriot FG. Glanton cleans it up to secure the 2 yard loss.
Those are your GIF of the week.
