You can include Kadar in the group that was impressed with Humphries combine performance:
2015 NFL mock draft: 2 rounds of fun - SBNation.com
25. Carolina Panthers: D.J. Humphries, OT, Florida If there’s one thing that came out of the Combine, it’s that a lot of people in the NFL love Humphries and view him as a first-round talent. That’s good news for a team like the Panthers. Last season they wanted to draft an offensive tackle and missed out. In this year’s draft, they can’t. A player like Humphries could be the left tackle of the future in Carolina.
Humphries looks like he can play left tackle for sure though I'm not so quick to raise a player's' stock just on the combine. A recent poll on CSR indicates Panther fans prefer Ereck Flowers who was still on the board (as was Andrus Peat).
For the Panthers 2nd round pick Kadar has a tackle sliding to us that many people rank as a late 1st round pick.
57. Carolina Panthers: Jake Fisher, OT, Oregon That’s right, two offensive tackles for the Panthers. That’s what I think of the health of that position in Carolina. Fisher and Humphries could battle for the starting left tackle job, with the loser either moving to the right or playing inside.
Our two top rookies battling for the left tackle spot with the loser playing the right side (or backing up both spots)... Imagine that! Of course, if we knew Fisher would be there I might have selected Andrus Peat instead and just call Fisher the LT and Peat the RT. I mean if we are going to dream then dream big. That is if you think Fisher can play the left side as a rookie.
I like the thought of double dipping at tackle. It worked out very well two drafts ago on the other side of the ball. Both Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short look like solid starters (if not elite players) for the foreseeable future. Maybe we can have the same impact on the offensive line with two early round selections.
There should still be a solid WR option in the 3rd leaving the Panthers free to go true BPA for their remaining four (or five) picks.
So what do you think of this Panther mock?
