2015 NFL Draft: Full 2 round mock

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

2015 NFL Mock Draft

1. Tampa Bay: Jameis Winston, QB

The character questions were deserved, but the talent/charisma is too much to overlook

2. Tennessee: Leonard Williams, DE/DT

I think Marriotta is in for a Bridgewater-like slide. Personally, I wouldn’t pass on a QB for a DT. The Titans have signed two pass-rushing OLB’s to nice deals, so they take the Dlineman here.

3. Jacksonville: Vic Beasley, OLB

Beasley is an underrated pass rushing monster, and may be the best prospect in this class. I believe this should be a run to the podium type pick.

4. Oakland: Kevin White, WR

Derek Carr is the guy, so add in the stud WR. White could still be a top 5 pick in almost any draft.

5. Washington: Dante Fowler, DE/OLB

Take the blue-chip pass rusher here, especially after Orakpo’s depature. You could probably get better value for an offensive lineman later.

6. New York Jets: Amari Cooper, WR

The defense is pretty set, but they still need offensive talent on the outside.

7. Chicago: Randy Gregory, DE/OLB

I say John Fox will go for the pass rusher. Run the ball. Play defense. Get ready for "Fox ball" in Chicago…i.e 3rd and long = draw play

8. Atlanta: Danny Shelton, DT

I don’t think Quinn should pass on the versatile big fella to toughen up that defense up-front. He is ready to be an NFL game changer from day 1

9. New York Giants: Bud Dupree, DE/OLB

Most mocks go Oline, but I can’t leave a pass rusher on the board here knowing the Giants history. Especially a pass rusher with an elite first step. He may need a little more weight to be a NFL 4-3 DE though.

10. St. Louis: La’el Collins, OT/OG

I’m torn here between Trae Waynes to help take the secondary to the next level, or Oline help. I’ll pretend they don’t want to give Barksdale the big $$$. La’el would give St. Louis a run plowing tackle on each side. Or imagine him paired next to Greg Robinson on the left side? Yikes, that run game can’t lose in this scenario.

11. Minnesota: Trae Waynes, CB

People love the college QB/WR reunion, but top 11 is kind of rich for Parker to me. Plus the real draft rarely has a storybook ending. Adding Mike Wallace gives them the option to take the stud CB here to potentially make the secondary elite.

12. TRADE: Philadelphia from Cleveland: Marcus Mariota, QB

Let’s face it… we’re all drama junkies. And we know that Chip really wants Marcus in his heart of hearts. He gets him without giving up half his draft, and shows everyone he really was playing chess while everyone else was playing checkers. Cleveland gets Sam Bradford, pick 20, and the Eagles 3rd rounder. Kelly has amped up his defense in free agency, got the RB he wanted, got the QB he wanted, and is still in prime position to get another Olineman or WR in the 2nd round.

13. New Orleans: Brandon Scherff, OT/OG

It’s razor thin between Schreff and Shane Ray here, but I say the Saints stay all in for Brees and go with the interior offensive lineman. They have always put a premium on elite guard play, and currently have none in that department. Scherff may be able to play OT too. Plus he adds to the run game for a team looking to re-establish the running game.

14. Miami: Shaq Thompson, OLB/S

The Dolphins have a habit of being a 1st round maverick. Here they continue to load up their defense, and could also potentially replace Ellerbee for better and cheaper. Their last do-it-all type guy hasn’t panned out so far with Dion Jordan, but Shaq is a player that may be too interesting to ignore here.

15. San Francisco: Eric Kendricks, ILB

Reach? What if he turns out like Bobby Wagner? Wagner and Luke Kuechly have proven that maybe ILB is more valuable than you think. This starts a grey area in the draft, where guys could easily go 15th or 35th. The 49ers had one of the deepest rosters in the league, and can easily reload with Hill, Brandon Thomas, Lynch, and Carridine after what would be devastating losses for other teams. Add another heart and soul to this defense via a prospect who admittedly patterned his game after Willis.

16. Houston: DaVante Parker, WR

Seemingly every year, mockers try to find the guy to "groom next to Andre Johnson". That day has finally come and gone. I believe Parker complements DeAndre Hopkins very well, as the team seems to be loaded on the defensive front next year.

17. San Diego: Macolm Brown, DT

Time to get big up front. Brown is big enough and fast enough to be a versatile guy, and could help Ingram and Attachou shine.

18. Kansas City: Andrus Peat, OT

When in doubt, go BPA. It’s good to have OT options on the team if your offensive tackles have struggles some, and Peat has better value at this spot than WR or defense.

19. Cleveland (from Buffalo): Jordan Phillips, DT

Cleveland gets big up front, and that defense continues to get nastier.

20. TRADED to Cleveland from Philadelphia (10-6): Devin Smith, WR

One trick pony? If that trick is catching TD’s and passes of 20+ yards, then I’ll call that a 1st round skillset instead of a trick because that wins football games. Even with Bowe in the fold, a Gordon-less Cleveland needs to have some drafted explosive talent at the WR position. They can fill it with a guy in state.

21. Cincinnati: Dorian Green-Beckham, WR

It’s almost surreal to imagine DGB next to AJ Green. Good luck stopping that. There’s no need to shy away from the fact that the Bengals take chances on guys with character risks. He is by far the BPA, plus he fills a need.

22. Pittsburgh: Landon Collins, S

Every year, outsiders talk about replacing Polumalu. And like Andre Johnson, that time may have finally come. Plus it’s hard to pass over the value of Collins here. Let him and Shamarko compete, and it may allow Thomas to be more flexible in the secondary.

23. Detroit: DJ Humphries, OT

Very fast and smooth in pass protection, the Lions could get a potential steal here. Their offensive tackle depth really got tested last year.

24. Arizona: Todd Gurley, RB

After watching Marshaun Lynch and Frank Gore terrorize the NFC, I think Bruce Arians again bucks a trend with his first rounder. A healthy Gurley could help his offense get over the hump. Seeing a first round RB may cause fans to have bad flashbacks of Beanie Wells though.

25. Carolina: Ereck Flowers, OT

He’s the reason Miami never sweated Seantrel Henderson’s issues... Flowers was just flat out better. Big, mean, and a good college LT… three things the Panthers want and desperately need.

26. Baltimore: Jaelen Strong, WR

Baltimore is able to sit tight and find a guy who could develop into a good WR for them. Strong has been over-rated and under-rated this draft season.

27. Dallas: Denzel Perryman, ILB

The Cowboys have gone for solid and steady in the past few drafts, and it has paid off. Perryman could give the defense more fire and stability, while renewing the Hurricane-Cowboy pipeline.

28. Denver: Jake Fisher, OT

Fisher is very underrated, and has solid film against elite O-lines like UCLA, FSU, and Ohio St. In fact, I would not be surprised if he goes earlier, ala Zach Martin. He could immediately step in on the right side and use his athleticism in Denver’s system.

29. Indianapolis: Owa Odighizuwa, DE/OLB

Andrew Luck’s shadow is so large, many don’t realize that the Colts actually had a pretty good defense last year. Werner has been iffy. Owa could come in and add even more bite upfront to the pass rush.

30. TRADE New York Jets from Green Bay: Brett Hundley, QB

With so many other pieces falling in place on both offense and defense, Bowles makes a strong move to get his own face of the franchise. Hundley is a very engaging leader, and a team will fall in love with him in the meeting room. Maybe Geno gets traded to Atlanta or Kansas City for a late pick. Similar to the Vikes swapping out with the Seahawks to swoop in for Bridgewater, the Packers get a 4th round pick (which they could use on a value DB).

31. New Orleans - from Seattle: Shane Ray, OLB/DE

The Saints jump at the chance to stop Shane Ray’s slide, hoping he can contribute to a dire pass rushing need. It’s a win for them

32. New England: Marcus Peters, CB

New England has no problems taking a troubled player, especially at CB (Talib, Dennard). They profit here with a guy to fill the hole that Revis left.

Round 2

33. Tennessee: Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest

Potential BPA pick for the secondary to defend against Luck

34. Tampa Bay: Daryl Williams, OT Oklahoma

Williams is another tackle that has been really underrated. I see him as this year’s Jawuwan James, who no one expected to be a 1st rounder. His experience could immediately solidify the Bucs Oline, plus he has played LT before (and would have stayed there except for Lane Johnson and Tyrus Thomas). Those are 2 check marks he has over TJ Clemmings.

35. Oakland: PJ Williams, CB, FSU

A mini-run on CB’s starts the second round. Good value to add to the defense.

36. Jacksonville: Melvin Gordon, RB Wisconsin

It just makes too much sense to add the offensive weapon here, as they went all-in on weapons for Bortles last year. From MJD to MGIII, like 8 Ball and MJG.

37. (traded) Green Bay from New York Jets: Max Williams, TE, Minn

Last year when the Lions took Ebron at 10, it made you say hmmm? Maybe Green Bay would do the same for Aaron Rodgers this year, and keep on building their offensive depth and fire power.

38. Washington: Cam Erving, C/G/T, FSU

Washington still could use the help on the offensive line, and Erving certainly brings a lot of options.

39. Chicago: Jay Ajayi, RB

You were thinking a WR to replace Marshall? Lol, welcome to Foxball. Plus Forte will be a 30 year old free agent next year.

40. New York Giants: Breshaud Perriman, WR

I can’t help myself. Even if Cruz can’t come back, a 1-2 punch of OBJ and Perriman is electrifying. Worry about a guard later (hint: Cann and Kouandjio will likely be on the board in the 3rd).

41. St. Louis: Preston Smith, DE Miss St.

Keep your strength a strength. The Rams did not shy away from redundancy with Aaron Donald last year or Nick Fairley this year. Chris Long only had 1 sack last season, and carries a huge cap hit next year.

42. Atlanta: Eli Harold, OLB Virginia

Rebuilding the defense with two nice front 7 picks. They need to get tougher in order to get out of 3rd place in the NFC South.

43. Cleveland: TJ Clemmings, OT

Get a guy who has great upside on the right side. Keep a strength strong. Cleveland is cleaning up in this draft.

44. New Orleans: Devin Funchess, WR/TE

Brees’s new tool to replace Graham and Colston. His size pairs well with Cooks. New Orleans is cleaning up as well.

45. Minnesota: Donavon Smith, OT/OG

Another good OT that seems to be forgotten about, Smith could compete at several spots to improve the Oline and it’s depth.

46. San Francisco: Arik Armestead, DE/DT

He looks the part, but it’s hard to be drafted high as a pass rusher when you only have 4 sacks your entire college career. San Fran takes the upside to help reload up front.

47. Miami: Jalen Collins, CB

Replenish the CB position via a prospect with upside

48. San Diego: Phillip Dorsett, WR

Across from Allen catching bombs from Rivers? Perfect fit.

49. Kansas City: Tyler Lockett, WR

Replenish the WR corps with an instate product.

50. Buffalo: Xavier Cooper, DE/DT

Given Rex’s history, my bet is on the Dline, given he already has good CB’s in place.

51. Houston: Benardrick McKinney, ILB

They could use more options here in the middle

52. Philadelphia: Nelson Agholor, WR

Could be a great fit for Chip, plus he’s a PAC 12 guy

53. Cincinnati: Carl Davis, DT

Nice value pick to keep bite up front.

54. Detroit: Eddie Goldman, DT

Restocking their DT cupboard at very good value

55. Arizona: Stephone Anthony, ILB

Can fill a hole with a solid player

56. Pittsburgh: Nate Orchard, OLB

Now you got some heat on Jarvis Jones, and on the other team’s QB

57. Carolina: Cedric Ogbuehi, OT

Cedric struggled on the left side this year after having a stellar year on the right. Though he is recovering from a torn ACL, Remmers and Oher could play in the meantime. We could have Cam’s long-term LT/RT answers with the OT double-dip, at a budget price.

58. Baltimore: Quinton Rollins, CB

Fills a need with a potentially high upside player

59. Denver: Hroniss Grasnu, C

60. Dallas: Duke Johnson, RB

A very talented player to help replace DeMarco, plus he’s from the "U"

61. Indianapolis: Tevin Coleman, RB

Colts sign the athletic Hoosier to solidify the position for the future.

62. Green Bay: Steve Nelson, CB

I think he’s underrated, and I like him over the LB options here

63. Seattle: Michael Bennett, DE/DT

Go for the versatile pass rusher and worry about the roster name confusion later

64. New England: Rashaad Greene, WR

His skill-set mix of route running and deep quickness could make him a monster in New England.
