This is the same Bills team that beat the Panthers in dramatic, last minute fashion last season and dropped them to 0-2. It was after this game the team held a closed door locker room meeting that launched the team on an eight game winning streak. So I don't know whether to despise or thank the Bills for that loss. It was a turning point in what became a 12-4 and NFC South championship season.
Being a preseason game we can expect less theatrics in this contest though I bet more than a couple Bills players struggle in the sweltering Carolina humidity. That part might be fun to watch. Otherwise we can expect the first teams to get about one half of play time as they turn it over to the players scratching for a roster spot. I'm curious to see how well we run the ball in the first half against a very solid Bills defensive line. I should mention though the Bills recently suffered a blow to the defense when Kiko Alonso tore his ACL, in case you had not heard. Tough break for last year's DROY.
Before that preseason kick off though we have training camp to cover. If your new to CSR we have a tradition of meeting up the first weekend of training camp at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. Check back by this Friday for more details on meet ups before and after the Saturday and Sunday practices. From those initial practices we will draw and provide lot's of coverage and analysis to the CSR membership. We also typically have at least one CSR member reporting from TC throughout camp, so that is always appreciated by those of us who can only wish we could attend every practice.
