Trivia Tuesday: Answer Revealed

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

Once again, our CSR fan base can't be outsmarted.

Congratulations to Josephd0 who was the first to answer correctly 16 minutes after the article appeared. Well done my CSR friend.

While it is true that our mystery man, Mike Rucker, was unable to contribute to Nebraska's 1994 National Championship season due to his red-shirt status, the Missouri native was able, however, to make his presence known the following year as the Cornhuskers won their second consecutive title. His one tackle in that 1995 championship game against Florida was none other than a sack of Danny Wuerffel, which was only a sign of things to come for the remainder of his college career and his eight year stint with the Panthers. Rucker never put up numbers worthy of Canton, but he was the very definition of steady and the embodiment of everything the Carolina Panthers represent. His lunch pail work ethic and off the field service will always be a testament who he is as a person and that self-sacrificing legacy continues to inspire others even now in the Charlotte community.

See you next week for another edition of Trivia Tuesday.
