In somewhat unsurprising news, Panthers GM Dave Gettleman announced to the media earlier this afternoon that 2nd year offensive lineman Edmund Kugbila will miss the entire 2014 season due to injury. Keep in mind, this is the same Kugbila who never saw a single snap of action last season because of an injured hamstring sustained early in training camp.
This time, however, the hamstring isn't the cause of Kugbila's lost season. According to a tweet from the Panthers' official twitter account, Kugbila will spend the entire 2014 season on IR due to back surgery.
Gettleman says OL Edmund Kugbila will have back surgery in August and will be out for the season.

It's not known at this time what caused the back injury or how long he has been injured, but it's certainly a bummer that we will once again be deprived of seeing whether or not he can help fill the Panthers' enormous void of quality offensive line depth.
Stay tuned to CSR as we will provide any updates on this story as they become available.
