The Most Overrated Panther is...

Charles Johnson, yes it's a bitter-sweet feeling because Greg Hardy, in fact is more as our underrated pass-rusher. I'll give you some reasons as why Hardy is the more superior, and why Hardy should stay with the Panthers, if it comes to that after the conclusion of the 2014 season, so let's begin...

1. Age. Charles is young, firmly entrenched in his prime, but Hardy is about to enter his prime, or perhaps he already did. Hardy has had his breakout year, and he hopes to build on it this year.

2. Consistency. For some reason, people argue saying Hardy is not consistent with sacks. He's not, not at all. Though, he's consistent with QB pressures with 44, and 27 QB hits. Hardy was ranked 2nd best DE per PFF, whilst Johnson was graded 19th.

3. Run-Defense. Remember when Greg Hardy would struggle heavily against the run early in his career, and Johnson would show his prowess in the trenches? Well, it was a bit reversed, with Hardy making teams know not to run it in his direction. Hardy was graded +7.5, with Johnson graded negatively coming in at -4.6. We see who has the advantage in this.

I very much like Charles Johnson, and last year he fought through an injury or two, so hopefully he can rebound nicely into an all-pro state. I'm not saying Johnson is bad, but look at the numbers, and please people, admit Greg Hardy is not overrated, but a very good, young DE, who the Panthers should do their best to hold on to.
