Okay guys I wanted us to look at the receivers from another point of view. Which of these receivers have the most up side.
We all know Kelvin Benjamin has a huge up side being a raw rookie. That being said what about the other receivers?
Tiquan Underwood is the one that I am looking at. he is fast, he can catch the ball and he has career 16 YPC That is pretty impressive. Until last year Underwood had not been given much of a chance. Then last year he was catching from Mike Glennon. I think in this system with Kelvin Benjamin on the other side. Underwood will shine.
I am going to group Cotchery and Avant into one group. We know what we have with these guys sure handed possession receivers. That is good but I don't expect to see much of a change from these guys.
McNutt I like him He has a nice upside I watched several game videos on this guy. He can catch the ball. He knows when to come back to the QB when he needs too. His route running leave a little to be desired, That has been a few years ago and he has been working with Ricky Proehl for a year now. If he makes the 53 man roster I think people will be surprised by his talent.
Tavarres King he is quick, and easily can shake defenders. He has inconsistent hands. I watched video on him as well. He really likes to catch the ball against his body rather than with his hands. He has also been working with Proehl for a year now. He can run routes better than McNutt, but I just don't see as big of up side.
Philly Brown, I like this kid. I do think he has an up side, but not this year. if he makes the 53 he has special teams written all over him.
What are your thoughts?
